A TECH JOURNEY FROM CHILDHOOD
I was born and raised in the vibrant city of Vadodara, Gujarat, where the rich tapestry of culture and tradition shaped my early years. Growing up in a household that valued hard work and education, I found inspiration in my father, a dedicated doctor, and my mother, a nurturing homemaker. Their unwavering support instilled in me a strong sense of curiosity and ambition.
My adventure with technology started in the sixth grade when I had a lightbulb moment. One day, I thought, “Why not help my dad and create a website for his hospital?” So, I rolled up my sleeves and dove in. I built the entire site all by myself—no manual, no instruction, and definitely no adult supervision! I even made it SEO-friendly, which basically means I made sure it could be found online.
I learned everything on my own without anyone teaching me, which probably explains why I spent hours Googling “How to make a website” instead of “How to do my homework.” And let’s be honest, I didn’t have fancy tools like ChatGPT back then—just me, a computer, and a whole lot of trial and error. Who knew that typing “How to fix my coding mess” into a search engine could be the start of my love affair with technology? It was like stepping into a digital wonderland, and I was officially hooked!
Looking back, I see how my childhood in Vadodara shaped who I am today. From building a website for my father’s hospital to bonding with my sister over games, each experience fueled my love for technology and set me on the path to becoming a Product Manager and Business Analyst.
MY JOURNEY: FROM STUDENT DAYS TO CAREER GOALS
After my tech adventure in sixth grade, I kicked off my education at one of the top universities in India for Computer Engineering. Those hostel days were full of laughter, late-night coding sessions, and lots of website-building. Plus, I earned my pocket money from my work—not from my parents!
During this time, I also dabbled in some moonlighting gigs. I took on small projects and learned the ins and outs of running a business. It was like getting a crash course in entrepreneurship while balancing my studies! I figured out how to manage clients, meet deadlines, and understand what really drives a successful business. It was an eye-opening experience that taught me valuable lessons beyond the classroom.
I interned at a startup where one of my professors mentored me about app development. Fast forward to my final semester, and I was diving into the world of SAP as a Basis intern at T-Systems International.
After graduating, I jumped into the workforce as a Data Analyst. Soon after, I got promoted to Product Manager and then became the Technical Product Manager Lead for SaaS products—all while moonlighting as a Marketing Analyst.
As a Product Manager, I have successfully led cross-functional teams through the complete product lifecycle, from ideation to launch. My approach to product development is deeply rooted in user-centric principles, ensuring that every decision is informed by comprehensive market research and user feedback. I pride myself on my ability to synthesize data insights and customer needs into innovative solutions that not only meet market demands but also delight users.
In my role as a Business Analyst, I specialize in leveraging advanced data analysis tools such as Power BI, SQL, and PySpark to extract meaningful insights from large data sets. I have a proven track record of building intuitive dashboards and reports that empower stakeholders to make informed, data-driven decisions. My analytical mindset enables me to identify trends, assess risks, and uncover opportunities for optimization, ultimately driving operational efficiencies and business growth.
I am also committed to fostering a collaborative team culture where creativity and diverse perspectives are valued. I believe that the best ideas emerge from open dialogue and cross-functional collaboration, and I actively seek to create environments where team members feel empowered to share their insights and contribute to the product vision.
Beyond my professional pursuits, I am passionate about continuous learning and staying at the forefront of industry trends. I enjoy attending workshops, webinars, and conferences to expand my knowledge and connect with like-minded professionals. I firmly believe that in the rapidly evolving tech landscape, staying informed and adaptable is crucial for success.
MY JOURNEY TO MASTER’S IN DATA ANALYTICS AND VISUALIZATION
But I wasn’t done yet! I realized I wanted to deepen my skills in data visualization, so I made the exciting decision to pursue a Master’s in Data Analytics and Visualization in New York. This program is a fantastic opportunity to dive deeper into the world of data and learn how to turn complex information into compelling visual stories.
During my summer break, I seized the chance to intern as a Business Analyst in the healthcare domain. This experience was a whirlwind of learning and growth, allowing me to apply my skills in a real-world setting while gaining valuable insights into the healthcare industry.
Every step of this journey has fueled my passion for technology and analytics, and I can’t wait to see where this path leads me next!
MY CAREER ASPIRATIONS
I envision a future where my work as a Business Analyst or Product Manager goes beyond just numbers and data—it truly enhances people’s lives! My goal is to join a company that embraces innovation, focuses on growth, and prioritizes customer satisfaction. I’m excited to take on new challenges and seize every opportunity to learn and grow in my field.
Every day, as I travel back home, I want to reflect on what I’ve learned that day. I want to collaborate with talented teams, brainstorm creative solutions, and develop products that make a real difference for users.
